The Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mubarak Bin Madi, was briefed on the preparations for announcing the study titled "Bridging the Gap between Scientific Specializations and Labor Sector Needs in Hadhramaut." The study is conducted by Al-Omran Institute for Studies and Capacity Building and funded by Nahd Development Foundation. This was discussed in a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Institute, Mr. Omar Abdulaziz Bin Aqeel, and the management of Nahd Development Foundation represented by the Secretary-General, Mr. Adel Taleb Bin Mahna, and the Executive Director, Mr. Ibrahim Jum'an Bin Thabet. During the meeting, Mr. Omar Bin Aqeel, the Deputy Chairman of the Institute, highlighted the key activities of Al-Omran Institute in the field of scientific studies and research. He emphasized the role of the institute in preparing scientific studies that contribute to various aspects of development, including the study aimed at identifying the needs of the labor sectors for scientific specializations. It is worth mentioning that the study, titled "Bridging the Gap between Scientific Specializations and Labor Sector Needs in Hadhramaut," serves those aspiring to pursue higher education. The study also aids the leadership in universities, institutes, and civil society organizations working in the field of education in Hadhramaut in planning educational programs that align with the requirements of the labor sectors in the province. The study relied on field surveys to monitor the needs of all specialized government sectors and a sample of the private sector and civil society organizations. Seventeen specialized workshops were conducted with the participation of 90 specialized individuals to screen the results of the field survey in Al-Mukalla, Sayun, and Tarim. The workshops covered areas such as Medicine and Health Sciences, Engineering, Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology, Arts and Education, Legal and Security Specializations, Administrative Sciences, and Agriculture. Governor Mubarak Bin Madi commended the role of Al-Omran Institute in conducting developmental research, training individuals, developing their skills, and enhancing their opportunities in the job market. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Khaled Rabea Bin Muneef, the Head of the Grants Department at Nahd Development Foundation
